Microsoft has an $22 billion agreement for its AR/VR headset for American Army!

Today, Microsoft has announced that they have an agreement with the US Army for its AR/VR headset and this agreement is worth as much as $22 billion for 10 years. This agreement is very important for Microsoft; because the company wants to grow its headset tech HoloLens.

Microsoft will upgrade and redesign its HoloLens headset and improve the headset capabilities. After all these upgrades, the US Army soldiers has enough capability to be successful in the land in the war.

According to a blog post from Microsoft’s Alex Kiptan says: “The program delivers enhanced situational awareness, enabling information sharing and decision-making in a variety of scenarios.”

Microsoft had signed a contract with the US Army for $480 million in 2018 and this agreement was about Augmented Reality. Microsoft would deliver 100.000 headset to the US Army.

Microsoft says that this agreement is very important for the firm; and the company has struggled hard to get this contract and surpassed its competitors. Army’s has to improve their strategy for the future wars.
